We like this Garage Boss Press 'N Pour 2+ plastic gas can for its size, price and safety features. Two gallons is enough to keep on hand for your lawn-care toys and it features a child safety cap and a flame mitigation device. To pour just press a button forward and watch the fuel flow through the translucent spout. Further, this plastic gas can is EPA and CARB compliant, so you don't have to worry about fumes escaping. Out of 5,000-plus buyer ratings on Amazon, 71% are five stars. All this for just $17. The Press 'N Pour gasoline can is also available in a 5-gallon model.

Midwest Can

This Midwest can is one of the plastic cans a few CNET Cars staffers have in their garages. We like it for the 2-gallon size and the fact that it exceeds CARB and EPA requirements for storing flammable liquid. What can we say? We like cars, but also the environment. Our only quibble is with the safety nozzle. On first glance it's not apparent exactly how it works, but a quick YouTube search provides the answer and there's no gas spillage from then on out. If you need more gas storage capacity, the plastic Midwest Can is also available with a 5-gallon capacity.

Eagle

If you're looking for a metal gas can that is made in the USA by a family-owned company, look no further than the Eagle 5 Gallon Red Safety Gasoline Can. This galvanized steel fuel container features a flame arrestor screen with spring-loaded closure lid and integrated funnel. A neoprene gasket vents at 3-5 psi and there are no top or side seams to spring a leak. Further, these metal cans are both OSHA and CARB approved. 

Scepter

Do you just need to store a little bit of fuel? Check out this 1-gallon Scepter SmartControl Gas Can. The spout is child-proof and requires a bit of finagling, but it also allows the user to control the flow resulting in less unwanted fuel spill. This plastic gas can is CARB and EPA certified and comes with a flame mitigation device.

Scepter

If you have more than one vehicle to top off, you'll need a large gas can. This fuel tank from Scepter holds 14 gallons and it's on wheels for when you need to bring the gasoline to the car or boat, not the other way around. A 10-foot hose with two shut-off valves make this can even more versatile. When full, you're probably not going to be able to lift it, the company says the unit weighs 112 pounds when full, so this is a siphon-based system. As such, it's not particularly fast being capable of dispensing just two gallons per minute from the nozzle. 

Inclake

This Inclake metal gas can carries over 5 gallons of fuel, so feel free to roam a bit further and wider. This fuel tank is rust-resistant and has three handles so it's easy to have two people lifting it. Remember, a gallon of fuel weighs about 6 pounds. There are no safety spouts to mess around with and the metal fuel cans comes with two spouts and extra o-rings for the cap, spout and vent. And for what it's worth, it's actually pretty good-looking gasoline can, too. If you're looking to haul even more fuel, Inclake also offers these gasoline cans in 8-gallon and 10-gallon models.

If you're racing, fuel stops need to be quick. Why do you think it is called a dump can and not a gasoline can? This guy can dump 5 gallons of fuel in under 5 seconds with a 2.25-inch male dry break. Get it? We use this 5-gallon dump can when just a splash of fuel is needed, and I also have a 11 gallon can for big jobs. Gallon markings are molded on the side, so you know how much you've used and the long handle makes it easy to grip. My pit crew also likes the square shape of these plastic fuel tanks as it's easier to hold on to when adrenaline is running hot. 

VP Racing Fuels

If you're looking for a more affordable motorsports-only fuel can, look no further than the VP Racing Fuels Square Racing Utility Jug. Punching in at around $43, these 5-gallon plastic storage containers are sturdy being made from high-density polyethylene and come in a variety of colors. The included hose and rubber gaskets for the container's cap make pouring a secure, spill-free exercise. This is a container that accompanies several CNET Cars staffers trackside on weekends.

Rotopax

Rotopax offers a pricier fuel can with a 10-year leak free warranty, but these FuelPax gas cans with a 5-year leak free warranty have served some CNET Cars staffers incredibly well. This 2.5-gallon gas container can mount easily to your rig with the (sold separately) Rotopax mount. It's dimensions 20-inch-by-14-inch-by-3.5-inch is pretty flat, so it's easy to find a place for it, whether full of gas and attached to your bed rack or empty and stacked in the garage for storage. In fact, we originally bought these specifically because of a very small area to mount some fuel containers in the back of a Rolls-Royce Cullinan for the Rebelle Rally. The company recommends you vent the tank of gas fumes once a day if elevation or temperatures fluctuate.

Why won't my new car take fuel from a gas can?

This is a problem you may have and not even know of just yet. Newer cars without a separate gas cap have two flaps: one that acts as a closure at the top and a second one further into the filler neck. Often times the spout on a gas can isn't long enough to penetrate that second flap. Further, there is no standardization in terms of how long or how narrow a spout needs to be to deliver gas. Some manufacturers include a funnel with the car, some do not. The last place you want to figure this out is when AAA comes to deliver you a gallon of gas on the side of the road.

Some funnels are made for specific brands, some claim to be a one-size-fits-all. We've included some funnel options above. However, since there is not any standardization, be sure to check your car's manual to find out how long and how narrow the funnel should be before ordering.

What is the difference between Type 1 and Type 2 gas cans?

Type 1 and Type 2 cans are different kinds of safety cans that are necessary if your business is storing fuel. Thank OSHA for this one, folks. Safety cans are metal, hold five gallons or less and self-vent when exposed to fire. These cans also have a spring-loaded closure. Type 1 cans use one spout to fill and dispense. Type 2 gas cans fill from a separate spout. That spout often does double duty as a vent. Type 2 cans, with their vents, are easier to pour from.

Are metal gas cans or plastic gas cans better?

It all depends on how long you will be storing your fuel. For long-term fuel storage, opt for metal gas cans. The metal cans won't expand or contract with changes in temperature and unlike plastic containers there are no chemicals to leach into the gas, keeping it fresher for a longer period.

However, there is no danger of plastic fuel gas cans developing rust and in case of fire the plastic gas container will just melt, while on the other hand a metal can potentially explode. We don't know about you, but the idea of possibly having a gas can bomb in our garage isn't ideal.

Where is the best place to store a gas can?

Extra fuel should be stored in a well-ventilated garage or shed. You should not store gasoline in your house, no matter what kind of can it's in. It's also a good idea to keep a fire extinguisher nearby because nobody wants to be known as the Safety Third neighbor. Keep in mind that fuel cans are color coded so you shouldn't ever get them mixed up. Red is for gas, yellow is for diesel, blue is for kerosene and green is for oils.

WWE Elimination Chamber 2020: Results, Undertaker appears, match ratings and full recap

Despite being the awkward show in between last month's Super ShowDown and next month's WrestleMania, Elimination Chamber was a solid show. The main event was the highlight, with a star-making performance by Shayna Baszler. But there were other strong moments too, including the opening match and an appearance by The Undertaker. 

It wasn't a perfect show. It lacked star power: No Brock Lesnar, no Goldberg, no Roman Reigns, no John Cena, no Bray Wyatt, no Drew McIntyre and no Becky Lynch. But there were enough positives to call Elimination Chamber 2020 an overachieving show considering that lack of star power. 

The quick results you need to know: Baszler won the Elimination Chamber main event, so she's facing Becky Lynch for the Raw Women's Championship at WrestleMania. Daniel Bryan beat Drew Gulak in a match you should absolutely go out of your way to watch. And AJ Styles lost to Aleister Black after a chokeslam from The Undertaker.

Shayna Baszler is the Queen of the Chamber 

Absolutely awesome. Shayna Baszler massacred the field in the Elimination Chamber to win, becoming Becky Lynch's WrestleMania opponent. 

The match started slow. Natalya started the Chamber off against Ruby Riott. Then Sarah Lorgan came in. Pretty underwhelming for a main event. But then Baszler entered fourth and everything changed. She dominated. Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan and Natalya all tapped out to the Kirifuda Clutch sleeper hold within about a minute. It was fantastic.

Asuka was in last. Asuka and Baszler had a nice exchange, with Asuka blistering Baszler with vicious kicks and countering out of a Kirifuda Clutch attempt. Within a few minutes, though, Baszler stood tall, with Asuka becoming the final victim to the Clutch.

Rating: 4 stars. As a match, it would have been improved by having a longer Asuka vs. Baszler segment at the end; the whole thing built to their square off, and it ended quicker than expected. That was somewhat anticlimactic. But as a way of building up Baszler for a WrestleMania match against Becky Lynch, this was a huge success. Watching Baszler obliterate people is a thrill.

Sami Zayn wins the Intercontinental Championship

What could have been a disaster, a three-on-one tag match pitting Shinsuke Nakamura, Cesaro and Sami Zayn against Braun Strowman, was actually fun. 

Before the match, Zayn cut a backstage promo about how Strowman has never been able to get his hands on Zayn. So the bout was essentially Strowman getting the upperhand on either Cesaro or Nakamura before being distracted by Zayn and cut down. Eventually, Nakamura hit a brutal Kinsasha to Strowman, knocking Strowman's head against the turnbuckle. The trio then did a suplex-Helluva Kick combo, leading Zayn to get the pin.

Rating 3.75 stars. A welcome change of pace, a match that felt different to everything else on the card so far. A three-on-one match where the "one" is Braun Strowman sounded like a recipe for making the "three" look bad. But here Cesaro and Nakamura didn't feel like they were undeserving of being in a ring with Strowman, Zayn got to be a chicken heel and Strowman got to look like a monster. Good fun. 

Street Profits retain Raw Tag Team Championships

Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford became the second tag team to retain their championships tonight. They beat Murphy and Seth Rollins after a distraction from Kevin Owens.

Seth Rollins and Murphy were escorted to the ring by the Authors of Pain. But after AOP got involved early in the match, the Viking Raiders came out and battled AOP to the backstage area. Later, Kevin Owens would walk down from a concession stand, popcorn in hand, down to ringside. He distracted Rollins, allowing The Profits to get the win. 

Rating: 2.75 stars. Not a particularly memorable match, but it was fine. The Viking Raiders expelled AOP from the ring too early; the rest of the match was hurt, feeling like an interlude until the inevitable Kevin Owens appearance. Owens and his popcorn were cute, though. 

Aleister Black pins AJ Styles

Aleister Black gets the biggest win of his career after pinning AJ Styles with the help of The Undertaker. 

The story of this match was that it was no disqualification but, I guess as a taunt, Styles' cronies Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson would only get involved when Black started to get the upper hand. So it wasn't a three-on-one situation, at least not from the beginning. You always knew it would end that way, though.

It was a slow start, with the two following the previous Chamber match. Styles worked over Black's leg for the bout, leading to a gruesome calf crusher. Black didn't tap, instead getting the escape by grinding a kendo stick into Styles' face. Other highlights include a stiff kick from Black, causing Styles to crash into a chair crammed between the turnbuckle ropes. Later, Black hit a Meteora on Styles through a table.

Eventually, Gallows, Anderson and Styles all jumped on Black, knuckling him with a three-on-one beat down. Undertaker's bell gongs and The Deadman appears. He hits a chokeslam on Styles and then promptly disappears. Black scores a beautiful Black Mass on Styles for the win.

Rating: 3.75 stars. Very good, but not the great match these two could have. Traditionally you'd want this to build up the new star, Black. But because this was really more about setting up AJ Styles vs. Undertaker at WrestleMania, Styles took most of the match and Black's win ended up looking like a fluke.

Miz and Morrison win Tag Title Elimination Chamber

A disjointed Elimination Chamber match. I do feel for these guys. The way the match was laid out eventually had all six teams -- Miz and John Morrison, The Usos, Heavy Machinery, The New Day, Lucha House Party and Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode -- in the Chamber at the same time. Trying to coordinate a 12-man free-for-all sounds almost impossible. And it showed. There were plenty of small botches and people clearly meandering about, trying to figure out where they're meant to be or waiting for someone else to get where they're meant to be.

But it was spectacular. Lucha House Party's Lince Dorado did a moonsault from the top of the Chamber. Literally the top of the Chamber: He was hanging from the top like he was on a monkey bar. Later, Otis from Heavy Machinery would crash through the Chamber pod and hit the ground outside. The Usos hit stereo Chamber-pod splashes to eliminate Roode and Ziggler. There was no shortage of high spots. But you need to watch the gifs more than you need to watch the match.

It started with The Usos and The New Day. Eventually, all six teams would be in the ring. Lucha House Party, who enjoyed maybe the most spotlight they've gotten in WWE yet, were out first. Heavy Machinery, the most popular team in the match, was out second. Roode and Ziggler were out next, followed by The New Day. 

The final stretch, of The Usos and Miz and Morrison, was arguably the best part of the match. Crisp action and solid near falls. Ultimately, The Miz and Morrison retained their titles.

Rating: 2.75 stars. Questionable creative decision to have Heavy Machinery out so early, especially since Roode and Ziggler vs. Heavy Machinery would probably be a bigger tag team match for WrestleMania than whatever WWE ends up doing. As noted, some fantastic spots here. But the match was also awkward and clunky at many points. 

Andrade retains his US Championship

After a well-wrestled match, Andrade pinned Humberto Carrillo with a tight-holding roll-up. Carrillo has been a little in the weeds, with a patchy win/loss record, and probably needed to win this match. It's possible that WWE is keeping his US Championship win to WrestleMania, which may work. That's if WWE is interested in building him up as a big star. If the plan is for the shine to go Andrade, then this match was what it should have been.

It started explosive, with Andrade nailing Carrillo with a huge back elbow. The wrestling was tight throughout, though there wasn't much of a story. It was more of a move-for-move bout, but that's OK. It got a "this is awesome" chant, for what that's worth. The match peaked at the end when Zelina Vega rolled up the mats outside for Andrade to DDT Carrillo on the hard ground, as Carrillo did to him in January. But instead, Carrillo did a huge somersault over the top ropes (and the ref), leading to the final roll-up exchange sequence which Andrade ultimately won. 

Rating: 3.5 stars.

Drew Gulak passes out to Daniel Bryan's Yes Lock

Daniel Bryan is an absolute saint. He's talked before about wanting to spotlight younger, as-yet acclaimed talent and it's clear that was his goal here. He almost killed himself -- literally, almost killed himself with a brutal german suplex -- to make Gulak look like a star. In the end, though, it was Bryan who would win via Yes Lock.

The story of the match was that Gulak was one step ahead of Bryan the whole time. The two begun with a long mat wrestling sequence, where Gulak got the better of Bryan at every turn. Throughout the match, Gulak often outmanoeuvred Bryan and worked over his neck. Daniel Bryan was selfless, giving all the shine to Gulak until the end.

That end came when Gulak hit a gnarly top rope reverse-DDT suplex and transitioned into a dragon sleeper. Bryan countered with an omoplata, leading to the Yes Lock win.

Rating: 3.75 stars. Great opener. Becky Lynch isn't on the card, so tonight Daniel Bryan is The Man.  

Kickoff Show results

Viking Raiders defeat Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder. No surprise here. Ryder accidentally gives Hawkins the Rough Ryder, and then Ryder is pinned after the Viking Raiders hit him with a Viking Experience.

Xbox One S vs. Samsung vs. Sony vs. Oppo: 4K Blu-ray player shootout

Ever since the original PlayStation back in the '90s, game consoles have been at the cutting edge of playing optical discs. The DVD and Blu-ray formats both got a huge boost from Sony's machines. 

With the latest optical format, 4K Blu-ray, it's Microsoft's turn to lead the pack. Sony decided to omit 4K disc support from its PlayStation 4 Pro, leaving the Xbox One S as the sole console capable of delivering the highest-quality home video under the sun. At 12 months of age, the $250 One S has grown into a fine console, and its inclusion of 4K UHD playback is one of its best features. 

Meanwhile dedicated 4K Blu-ray players sell for around the same price or even more, and can do far less. So the question for people who want to watch 4K Blu-ray becomes: Is there any good reason to buy one of them instead of the One S?

To find out, I pitted the Xbox against three high-profile 4K Blu-ray players -- the Sony UBP-X800, the Samsung UBD-K8500 and the Oppo UDP-203 -- to see which presented the best performance for the money.

The interface

Pressing the center button on the Xbox One controller now takes you to a Guide sidebar, rather than the traditional home screen.

Despite the Xbox One's considerable power and capabilities, I consider its menu system a nightmare. The on-screen display is confused, convoluted and makes finding anything more difficult than before. And that's just games. As the Xbox is not a disc player first and foremost, you may have to burrow down to access the Blu-ray app.

Of the four 4K BD players I've tested so far, my favorite interface is the Sony. It puts content first, and lets you tailor your shortcuts so your favorites -- say Play Disc, Netflix and Pandora -- are right in front of you.

Operating speed

The Xbox One S is actually pretty fast when it comes to loading discs and streaming Netflix. While the 2016 Samsung UBD-K8500 is still the fastest I've seen at loading 4K discs, Microsoft's console is second fastest among the four. Sure, the Xbox is beaten in most of the other tests, but it only loses out by a couple of seconds each time. You probably wouldn't notice the difference in real-world use.

Image quality

While you may expect a dedicated player to produce a better picture than a game console, that wasn't the case. The Xbox One S passed all of the tests I threw at it -- whether DVD, Blu-ray or 4K disc. From everything I could see, it was just as good as the dedicated players. It was able to correctly replay film and video content from DVD and Blu-ray test discs well, without stuttering or leaving jaggies. And 4K high dynamic range (HDR) content popped in exactly the same way it did on the Samsung, Sony and Oppo players -- whether via streaming services or discs. 

Be aware that if you want to stream HDR, only Netflix and Amazon are supported on the Xbox One S right now -- no YouTube or Vudu yet. By comparison, the Samsung only does Amazon HDR, while the Sony only has YouTube HDR.

Should you buy a dedicated player?

The Media Remote makes disc playback easier on the One S.

With similar speed and image quality across all of the players, why buy anything but the Xbox One S for 4K Blu-ray playback?

The main reason is if you watch a lot of discs. The interface of the Xbox One S muddles things and makes the process of playing stuff more annoying than a dedicated player. The $18 Media Remote is also worth the investment if you don't want to use the Xbox's game controller. 

But that's pretty much it, and for most people the interface differences aren't worth paying extra to get a dedicated player. If you want to do any gaming at all (and even if you don't), the Xbox One S is worth buying over a dedicated player. It's capable, compact and comparatively fast. And until those other players go down in price, it's by far the best value in 4K Blu-ray playback.

The suit, filed Monday by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, accuses Facebook of violating the state's privacy laws by capturing biometric data on tens of millions of Texans without properly obtaining consent. 

"Facebook will no longer take advantage of people and their children with the intent to turn a profit at the expense of one's safety and well-being," said Paxton in a release. "This is yet another example of Big Tech's deceitful business practices and it must stop."

Facial recognition technology, which converts face scans into identifiable data, has become a growing privacy and civil rights concern. In November, Facebook said it would shut down its facial recognition system and delete the face scan data of more than 1 billion users. The company said the decision was spurred by societal concerns and regulatory uncertainty about facial recognition technology. 

The move marked a major shift away from the controversial technology that Facebook incorporated into features such as giving people the option to receive automatic notifications when they appear in photos and videos posted by others, or suggesting tags by using scans of previously uploaded photos to match people in new shots. 

By the time Facebook announced it would shutter its facial recognition system, the company had secretly exploited Texans and their personal information for more than a decade, the lawsuit alleges. 

"Little did users know that when they answered the simple question of who was in the photograph, they were helping to teach Facebook's facial-recognition technology to better map and recognize human faces for the benefits of Facebook's commercial endeavors -- and to the detriment of users' and nonusers' personal safety and security," the lawsuit states. 

Facial recognition technology could be abused by stalkers and criminals to gather information about a target or locate their social media accounts, the lawsuit points out. Governments have also use the technology to surveil people, and the technology has a harder time identifying minorities.

This isn't the first time Facebook has been accused of violating a state's privacy law. 

In February 2021, Facebook settled a class action lawsuit involving its use of facial recognition technology in its photo-tagging feature for $650 million. The lawsuit alleged the scans were created without user consent and violated Illinois' Biometric Information Privacy Act.

The new lawsuit alleges that Facebook captured Texans' biometric data without consent "billions of times" and exposed their personal information "to other entities who further exploited it" without users' knowledge. An estimated 20.5 million Texans are on Facebook, according to the lawsuit. Texas will seek civil penalties in the "hundreds of billions of dollars," according to The Wall Street Journal, which earlier reported on the lawsuit. 

The lawsuit accuses the social media giant of violating a Texas biometric privacy law because the company didn't receive consent from both Facebook and Instagram users to capture facial data and failed to destroy biometric data in a "reasonable time." Called the Texas Capture of Use of Biometrics Identifier Act, the law states that an entity must destroy biometric data no later than a year after the purpose for capturing the information expires. The lawsuit also alleges that Facebook engaged in false, misleading or deceptive acts by failing to inform users about the biometric data collection, violating a state consumer protection law.

In an emailed statement Monday, a Meta spokesperson said that the "claims are without merit" and that the company will defend itself "vigorously."

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Nissanannounced a recall for 699,946 2014-2016 Nissan Rogues over concerns that a faulty electrical connector could start a fire.

The recall specifically pertains to an under-dash connector that can corrode if exposed to water and/or road salt from the driver's footwell. If the connector becomes corroded, it can heat up and potentially cause a fire. There is currently no fix available for the issue, but when one comes, we suspect it will be something along the lines of a better-sealed connector.

The owners of affected vehicles can expect to be notified by Nissan via mail on or around March 2, 2022, alerting them of the issue. Nissan will send out a second round of communication once the problem has been solved, which will let owners know to come to their dealer for the repair, which, like all recalls, will be performed free of charge.

It might seem obvious, but here's what you'll need to make iced coffee at home:

• Brewed coffee (this can be from your Keurig, an automatic coffee pot, a pour-over or any other method you prefer)
• Ice
• Extras (sugar, simple syrup, flavored syrups, cream, milk, etc.)

How to make iced coffee

Here's the easiest way to make iced coffee. 

1. Let your fresh brewed coffee cool. You can either let it sit out until it reaches room temperature, put it in the freezer for a few minutes, or if you're thinking ahead, refrigerate it overnight so it's ready to pour in the morning. 

2. Fill a glass with ice, and pour the cooled coffee over it. (If you impatiently pour hot coffee over ice, you just get weak, lukewarm coffee.)

3. Add any of your preferred extras, like cream and sugar. 

Extra tip: Freeze some of your brewed coffee in ice cube trays. Next time you make an iced coffee that you want to keep cold without watering it down so much, drop some in.
